MIC vs MBC

Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) is the lowest concentration of an antimicrobial drug that will inhibit the visible growth of a microorganism after overnight incubation. Minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) is the lowest concentration of an antimicrobial agent required to kill a particular bacterium.
